Boulder Holder - Madvillain

When Madvillainy 2 came out I was disappointed just like everyone else. How are you going to call the same movie shot from different camera angles a sequel?

I was upset because the album wasn’t what I hoped for or expected. Honestly, I gave it a turn and shelved it.

After my ego recovered and some time lapsed I gave it another spin. I figured out the problem. The solution was for me to live up to the album’s expectation of me as a listener. This was Madlib working off Doom and flipping it into a totally different dimension with it’s own set of physics. We play by Madlib’s rules not the other way around.

As the result we have two different albums for a variety of moods. Give it a listen all the way through while you prep the vegetables and greens, it goes down easy.
